Cyrille BELLIER

Cyrille took his first pictures at the age of 8, on the highlands of Madagascar. He had the chance to follow his family in different places in Africa. He studied in Paris and London and then continued travelling and living in different places, in Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia, always carrying his Camera, analog then digital.
Cyrille focuses on deserted landscape, urban landscape and architecture, street and street art photography, where the lights and shadows magnify raw elements, water, wood, stone, sand, concrete and steel, and one can feel the time passing by and can imagine stories. In the apparently most desolated places, we can find specific moment of harmony in textures, light and shapes, a moment that would eventually disappear.
Variations around scaffolds triptych revisits an iconic image of Hong Kong. It is not only about bamboos, but also about blue skies, white sails in the wind, the forest around and hard workers. Along with a poem by Sven Larsonn, it is part of “Cathédrales de Bambous” artwork.
